OPEN HEART 💖 OPEN MIND — LIVE YOUR GREAT LIFE!

The Open Heart đź’– Open Mind course is a three-month immersion that provides you with a clear path to realize your dreams and desires. Backed by science, this course is a synthesis of psychology, evolutionary psychology, neuroscience, meditation and spirituality. This course provides theory, journaling, discussion, and, most importantly, action steps that you can immediately apply to your daily life.

The premise:

Our lives are created from the stories and beliefs we learned from our families, schools and society. It is a story of fear and lack. We are taught to play small, stay safe and find security. We learn not to make a fuss and that our wants, desires and needs don’t matter.

To some degree, this strategy worked. You are safe, you have a job and you are well fed. But maybe you are burdened with anxiety, guilt, shame or debt or a sense of just going through the motions—feeling empty. You realize you are living out a strategy rather than living your life.

Open Heart 💖 Open Mind is an invitation to reclaim your life. It’s an opportunity to critically examine your narrative and discover what it is you truly want from life.

The course is about developing a mindset to experience life as full of opportunities rather than a mindset of fear, lack and survival. You will realize you are the architect of your life and you have the power to change. The course is a radical reframing of what you thought life is to what you truly desire. It’s a shift from surviving to thriving in your life.

With mindfulness meditation, we realize we are not our stories or beliefs. With practice, we connect to a deeper current of life. AND if we are courageous, we will listen. We allow this impulse to guide us. When this happens, you are living life. You are living your destiny. (While mindfulness meditation will be a foundational tool, this is not a mindfulness course.)

Joy from the Inside Out – SOLD OUT

Elevate your JOY—a 4-week journey inspired by the Book of Joy.

Take your understanding and practice of joy to the next level. In collaboration with BCalm(British Columbia Association for Living Mindfully), I will be offering a 4-week online course, “Joy from the Inside Out.” This course draws from the wisdom in the Book of Joy by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Joy from the Inside Out offers a deeper exploration of joy and practical exercises to add more joy to your life.  Although not a meditation course, meditation is foundational to the course. The content has been carefully curated; you do not need to read the book.

About the facilitator:

Ocean Lum, MA, has been leading mindfulness courses since 2013.  She is an ardent and devoted student of Buddhism and has practiced meditation for 24 years. As a registered clinical counsellor and a seasoned yoga teacher, Ocean brings a wealth of knowledge to her facilitation. Her classes synthesize neuroscience, psychology and spirituality.  They are designed to be practical and applicable to the challenges of our lives.
