How lucky we are to live in Victoria and the surrounding area. Every day, I find myself astonished by the beauty of spring. My heart sings and my eyes delight in the feast of it all—cherry blossoms, magnolia blossoms, forsythia, daffodils, and even the rhododendrons beginning to peek out.

It’s a beautiful reminder that spring always follows winter.

I’m always struck by this line from Anaïs Nin:
And the time came when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”

There’s something in that about courage… about the moment when staying the same becomes more painful than the risk of change. When something in us is no longer willing to remain closed, even if opening feels uncertain.

Wherever you are in your own process—whether things feel like they’re just beginning, fully blossoming, or still waiting beneath the surface—I hope you remember you’re not alone in it. There is a larger rhythm holding all of it, even when it doesn’t quite make sense. And if things still feel like winter that’s okay, too—spring always follows winter.

Wishing you a happy spring, and—when the moment comes—the courage to take a risk, to open, even just a little, to whatever is waiting to bloom in your life.
